DUCKLINGS.

Today's Stupid Little Walk featured:

• Egyptian goslings in the water, which is the first time we've seen that, looking exceedingly grown up at this point (and then one of them WALKED UP THE RAMP and stretched its wings and this, too, was excellent to Observe)
• DUCKLINGS. we were wandering past some mallards! and both thought "gosh that's a weird sideways thing for that duck to be doing with her leg" and looked back over my shoulder as we passed and there was a TINY HEAD so obviously we stopped to watch some more and indeed Three Tiny Duckle Underneath Her, which was Fantastic
• Coots! That! Go! Pop! Teenagers now Extremely Teenaged.
• BONUS FISH in the New River in town which I am mildly baffled by -- I have previously seen small bubblings likely indicative of tiny brown fish, but this thing was a foot long and also silver, so I am Surprised and also Pleased

(Alas coot-on-nest once again did not oblige by Standing to reveal Orbs, so we are just going to have to keep going back to visit them I Suppose. Which is of course a terrible hardship.)

Ah man, I saw Egyptian Geese on my old college campus (West Coast of United States) but never their goslings. Cool!
