Reading. Finished It's All In Your Head, Suzanne O'Sullivan, on psychosomatic disorders. Still having lots of thoughts and feelings about it. Might yet manage to write any of them up.

Started The Night Theatre (Vikram Paralkar) when a months-long library hold abruptly came up. Why is my brain letting me read this fiction and nothing else? No idea! But it is. (obviously...) I am finding it extremely readable; I'm about halfway through, it transpires it's not what I was expecting (even from the sample I read before the hold came up!) in several ways I'm finding surprising. More opinions later, maybe.

Writing. A whole damn wiki page on What Admin: The LRP Is Even For. Soliciting first round of feedback As We Speak. Nobody has told me I have to take the jokes out yet.

Playing. Filament!!! Still stuck on I think 3 collectable puzzles and Several environmental puzzles, but we're now working our way through the bridge. Every single new level is getting greeted with "... this is some bullshit", but obviously we're very much still playing.

Cooking. Iiiii was having a rough time with making food go this week but I did eventually manage to make butternut squash tart yesterday, so that's us sorted for the next couple of days still. Lots of pad thai (have discovered that in fact I want that to be four days of food not two).

Slightly experimental flapjack sourdough, i.e. Some Oats plus Currants, for topping with copious quantities of butter and honey. Left it in the oven for a bit too long. Not sure it's identifiably oaty.

Growing. SOWED TOMATOES (like, finished doing so within the last half hour). Actually potted on the chillis and aubergines that survived The Propagator Disaster! Sowed a few replacements for those as well! Feeling much better about myself having actually dragged myself through doing it and then spotted all the packets saying "look, it's okay to do this in March, but you probably don't want to leave it later than that" (re the peppers and chillis). So. Hopefully I will have 7+ colours of tomato this year after all.

Quite a bit more Shuffling Things Around At The Allotment, hurrah. Maybe I will manage more of that this week coming.

Observing. Lawn fox! threw itself happily down to roll! which I was NOT expecting.

Also Front Gardens On The Hill fox, which was very delicately carrying a whole unbroken egg in its mouth. Presumably it has cubs!!! which I would very much like to see!!! but alas.

Also also went and peered at waterfowl and have convinced myself that the things I was peering at the other week are tufted ducks after all; in the process also observed a COOT that was sitting very diligently upon a NEST, and terrified a poor rat to the extent that it bounced off my foot while trying to run away from me by, er, running toward me.

Have there also been parakeets? I think we have also seen parakeets. And, of course, BAT.

TOMATOES!!!🍅 <3 *vibrating happily*

(I do not have seven colors of tomatoes but I should have five I think, as long as my seedlings actually survive. Also three colors maybe four varieties of aubergines (something hasn't come up; I forget if it's where I put one variety of eggplant), three chilis, one small pepper variety and an uncertain mixture of many seedlings from a mixed bell pepper seed packet. ...and tomatillos and a ground cherry physalis that was reluctant to sprout)

For what it's worth, some volunteer tomatoes in my greenhouse fruited last year, despite not coming up until late April/early May. So there's definitely still time, it's just a matter of racing with blight.

Oh yes. I too decided that Easter weekend counted as "early March" for the purposes of peppers and eggplants.
