Good things.
Mar. 21st, 2013 11:50 pm- I made red bean pastries! The pastry itself was a little on the tough and chewy side, but I know what went wrong and how to fix it. And also? RED BEAN PASTRIES. They are my favourite, they are.
- Sainsbury's raspberry sorbet is actually very, very tasty as far as readily-available raspberry sorbets go. This makes me happy.
- I am getting the hang of the Indigo Girls, in the sense of finding myself craving bits of them. This is nice.
- I've arranged to pick up my magic power-assist wheels from the shop next week (they've been repaired, hurrah), AS WELL AS get my backrest & proper cushion. This is really, really exciting: after well over a year of trying, my wheelchair is finally going to be set up the way I've wanted it to be all along. :-)
- The weighted blanket I ordered a few weeks back is making such, such a difference to my quality of sleep and my degree of insomnia. I'm getting to sleep faster, waking up less frequently, and sleeping more deeply. It's so lovely that I can't even.
- I have inherited an mp3 player from Awesome Housemate, and as such can put guided meditation tracks onto it and not have to have the computer on when doing them.
- John Scalzi on Two Simple Observations Regarding Women.
- This is strictly pre-weekend, but: I still keep getting waves of relief at having dealt with a piece of writing that's been hanging over me for the past six months.
- I am basking in the fact that the kitchen is clean, and I helped get it that way. (Though it's not all my fault!)
- Awesome Housemate headed home for the vac today, but I'm putting in motion plans to see her on Tuesday. :-)
