This afternoon I ran a lot of errands and appreciated a lot of front gardens.

purple frilly tulips at the cenre of a formal planting, surrounded by yellow primrose

small dark reddish-purple flowers against silvery-grey leaves

remarkably orange-pink sleepy snail, glued ineffectually to the trunk of a shrub

in a plant pot, on paving slabs: some kind of daisy, with black centres and petals that are bright white at their base and bright purple at their tips

wisteria in flower between a bay window and a recessed door

cottage-style front garden feat. purple frilly tulip

a bush with leaves that are green in the centre shading to purple, with small clusters of bright yellow flowers with red sepals
