Reading. Vagabonds!, Eloghosa Osunde. This is of the anthology-of-intersecting-short-stories breed, which I find Challenging, but it transpires that "sat in urgent care/A&E waiting rooms indefinitely and also it's about to be auto-returned to the library" is a good way to get me to do a bunch of reading, and I think I did like most of how it wound up spinning together.

More A Slob Comes Clean; I'm up to the end of December 2013...

Oh! And I picked Migraine back up, also in waiting rooms, and have experienced a certain amount of not-exactly-Schadenfreude-buuuut about the bit where the attitude taken toward migraine and ways to manage it at the NHNN currently is remarkably similar to that in the literal eighteenth century! So that's... something. Progress! Isn't it marvellous!

Cooking. More new things, still all Meera Sodha! The clay pot noodles (happy to have made and eaten, not intending to add to our rotation), sprout nasi goreng (interesting, once again felt oddly light on Vegetable, going to contemplate tweaks and probably do it again sometime), and another batch of the winter pilau.

I have also made Probably The Last Batch Of Marmalade This Year: eight jars of late-season blood orange marmalade, which is much redder than the January pressing!

And I think -- I think -- I am finally getting the hang of Instant Pot yoghurt. (I am baffled as to why I find this so difficult when the entire Internet is extremely confident that it's very easy.)

Eating. Takeaway Pizza Express, post-A&E: our local one shut down a year or so into The Plague, but there's one on the way back from our preferred A&E and if we're passing it at the right time then Comfort Food Pizza is very welcome.

Things I've grown: garlic. chillis. herbs various. ... I am quite convinced there were more but my brain is not currently volunteering them and it is Definitely Time For Bed.

Exploring. Another local-ish tip site! A different set of allotments! More of Barnet Hospital A&E!

Making & mending. Greenhouse is all the way back together and I am Making Progress on the fruit cage bonus door and reassembly. :)

Growing. I have put a sad rosemary in the actual ground; I don't expect it to recover but it will be a nice bonus if it does. My focus this week has largely been on infrastructure and I really do need to start sowing all manner of things. I have a list! We will see how many of them I actually manage to get to before the end of February...

Health to the rosemary!

They grow into massive hedges here. It's wild.

I too have a sad-rosemary. It is in a pot, because the best spot in-the-ground is where the horses pulled up the last one I planted. I don't think it liked the extreme cold last year, and it is very Not Happy. Perhaps I should try find it an in-the-ground spot too. Or give up and buy a new baby one and plant in under the chicken wire run that protects the lavender. The horses pull that up too, or bite the tops off older ones - they don't even *like* the lavender and will spit it back out, but they'll try eating anything they can reach. Including the wind chimes. Noisy.

They are otherwise lovely neighbours, and we get more interesting bird life in the field now than we did pre-horses, so I live with the lavender cage :)
