geological cocktails

I... do not entirely recall how we got onto this topic, but a conversation I had with a friend earlier led me to discover the Flaming Volcano", a cocktail that appears to exist more for the sake of the dramatic visuals than anything else.

Everything else I could find already attested was a bit of a disappointment, alas (e.g. this Buzzfeed listicle that doesn't even include pictures of the drinks).

Given the existence of volcanic bombs and lava fountains I sort of feel like there's scope for a lot more creativity here!

I don't know about geological cocktails specifically, but next time you are in Oxford and comfortable doing bars, there's an AMAZING cocktail place on the roof of the Westgate called The Alchemist where their entire thing is incredibly dramatic cocktails. I only went there once, a couple of years ago, and I dream of being able to visit again. They are FULL of dry ice, fire, and chemical reactions.

You could even extend it beyond cocktails with a volcanic bombe surprise :)

A peaceful blue drink that suddenly has a large hot cinnamon candy that is ON FIRE plopped into the middle of it!

OMG WANT. But then I would - I had a 'mushroom cloud' themed shots for my birthday a couple of years ago (the theme was 'Trump's gonna start WW3, let's party' because that was so much the feeling in the air - early 2018), and the dramatic cocktails at the Cauldron in London fill me with glee :)

Pyroclastic flow could be something really intense.

I can't remember what it was called, but at my OldWork, a colleague used to bring his Cocktail Case in for celebration things, and make a cocktail that we had to drink through metal straws, through a storm of flames and burning cinnamon bits...
