[plague diaries] settling in

I have been muttering for some time now, to people for whom it's relevant, that I'm not going to trust the vaccines until we've made it through a winter season with reasonable vaccination rates and seen how they hold up.
I'm trying not to let Delta leave the agoraphobia feeling too vindicated, but in combination with ZOE estimating that local vaccination rates are 51% for two doses and 58% for one dose... well.
But. This means that we actually are looking at at least another six months of This, or should be planning as though we are, and that means it's time to have a serious think about reoptimising furniture layouts for both of us working from home for a while yet, not least because a good third of the sofa has been taken over by Thesis Nest largely because I can't keep all this shit on my desk as currently set up because... that's A's office, at the moment, and "oh we can share a desk" was fine when he wasn't expecting to be using it much buuuut it's been, what, eighteen months or thereabouts since he started working from home full-time?
So.
I was going to spend some of this evening measuring things up and drawing myself sketches and maybe poking IKEA, but instead I had a migraine. But. There's something I've been contemplating this week.
