some things make a post

1. It is too warm. I have not yet repeated this weekend's trick of taking a shower while fully clothed and then air-drying to cool off but I *am* at up to three showers a day. It was 27°C indoors at half past ten this evening. I object.
2. But I bought yet more terracotta pots off the internet and this evening we went to collect them (and drop them off at the allotment), which meant we spent a bunch of time in the car, which has AIR CONDITIONING.
3. We did not have japchae for dinner but I DID establish that the ramen place in Hackney does takeaway cold noodle salads, so A indulged me to the tune of masking up and going into his first building that wasn't medical-related since March, and in exchange for 45s indoors we got food. He tells me the restaurant staff were rather better at masking than the folk in the hospital, so that's horrifying.
4. Level 2 Counselling certificate: emailed today to say entrance tests and interview have all been moved online, book at this URL. So I have. For Thursday. Which is not necessarily wise (I have a bunch of thesis as needs writing before a meeting on Friday) but I guarantee I would fret about it otherwise and I did at least get as far as "not TOMORROW, Alex, that's Too Many Things."
5. I am super pleased with the plant pots, though. I was inexplicably the only bidder and a little concerned I'd end up disappointed because they were worse than the photos suggested, but nope, they are actively better. Now all I have to do is emerge from the thesis haze for long enough to sort out potting things up as appropriate.

Date: 2020-08-12 04:30 am (UTC)glad the food people are making at least a minimal effort, though, and congrat on the plant pots 🌱 (this is probably a terribly stupid question, but do you pot things you're growing at the allotment so they can go indoors in the winter? the only serious gardener i know does . . . the overwhelming majority of her gardening Permanently Outdoors so the only things she ever pots are the rosebushes that have to be stored in the garage when outdoors is below zero)
