[academia] ... a welcome development

Last night, and this morning, I spent impatiently looking forward to my meeting with my supervisor this afternoon.
We talked for almost two hours, we covered a lot of ground, and I'm still feeling enthusiastic about work.
That is, um, a lot of trauma that isn't currently getting in the way. I doubt it's gone forever or anything approximating it, and it'd probably be pretty easy to reactivate, but right now I'm feeling sufficiently happy about my science that meetings (and even e-mails!) aren't sources of debilitating terror for the entire anticipatory period.
It's really Quite Nice.
