[movement] ... well, that's a thing

Specifically: since this time last year, my suit jacket (the expensively tailored one) has stopped fitting.
... my biceps.
I was scrabbling around through my paperwork from the introductory UCH gym sessions, for the purposes of my PIP reapplication (now all submitted; let's see how thoroughly to hell it goes; in the meantime I need to write them another letter about reviewing my previous claim, and I'm still waiting for them to get back to me at all about anything relating to ESA), and it turns out that for... pretty much everything... I started out at 3 reps of 7kg, plus 90 seconds on a stationary bike.
I started going to the gym again at the beginning of July. I am now, via slow and steady and tedious stepwise incremental increases, at 3 sets of 10 reps of 14kg on everything, plus two sets of 5 minutes on a stationary bike (at a higher resistance).
And my knee is fine with all of this. (It's sometimes twinging a little on the day, if I screw something up, but irritation isn't lasting longer than 12 hours, which is kind of amazing.)
I just... need to remember take a metaphorical step back for the perspective a little more often.
