I MOISTURISE THEM WITH SUBSTANTIAL QUANTITIES OF E45 AT LEAST TWICE A DAY.

This happened in January!!! I am a bit .......... at myself for having only just worked it out. (My previous best guess was "I put perfume on my wrists that morning and I guess that's volatile organic compounds????")

Out of curiosity, what is it in E45 that registers as explosives? The paraffin?

I assume so! I haven't actually investigated further, I was attempting to leave the house at the time...

I''m pretty sure it's the paraffin, given that there have been warnings about people e.g. managing to set E-45-soaked clothing on fire accidentally. Perhaps there should be additional warning to eczema patients - not only can you set things on fire, security screenings will think you're trying to blow things up...
