Desserts currently in progress or recently completed:
- strawberries and whipped cream
- pear-and-blackberry crumble (just finished; blackberries are starting to ripen up where I am so I have started picking them!)
- custard (for eventual creme brulee, but also for the crumbles)
- proto-meringue, from the egg whites from the custard (~half a dozen are going to be basil flavoured, ~half a dozen are going to be pistachio-and-rosewater)
- peaches baked in white wine syrup with black pepper/star anise/cardamom sugar (to go with meringue and whipped cream)
- ... and I'm in the process of making cardamom salted caramel to go in brownie.
