I've learned so much from your psychology posts and discussions. In particular I'd like to flag up the "little match girl" post, which I printed out and showed to my therapist, and the interchange I had with you about disability employment. You inspired me to roll up my sleeves and give government employment services one more chance, on my own terms. This... wasn't a success, but I'm glad to have done it, and now I have concrete reasons I can give anyone who asks for why I'm not taking that route. And subsequent word of mouth has pointed me to somewhere else that might help.
And just today, your post about diagnosis and clinical psychologists vs psychiatrists might save someone else from the bullshit I went through years ago.
I like how you negotiate the gaps between lived experience and theory in your work, how you talk about that.
Also, your "other people's cats" posts are really great -- both the reasoning behind it and the pictures you reblog.
