Here is a thing that is nice: not being triggered by my partners' faces. In particular, catching a glimpse of t'new boy's face at an unfortunate combination of lighting and angle no longer sends me cowering across the room; instead I just get "huh, weird, for a moment there you looked just like..." and that is it.

I'm a little bit sideways at the moment and not quite sure why. I'm eating reasonably, sleeping not... less sensibly than normal, and not walking ridiculously much more than my normal too-much; but still I've twice in the past week ended up going home to bed, intending to have a 2-hour nap, and coming to seven hours later.

hello I'm a human I am not very human

not being triggered

Is good!

Reading this at 5:45AM having been up since 3AM after crashing at 8PM, there's a surprising amount of us human/not very humans about ;) I've had a couple of fairly sleepless nights, so crashing's not too unpredictable in this instance, but equally I regularly find myself randomly crashing after things I do every week. I think the sheer randomness is something we have to put up with, there's not necessarily always an obvious (or even unobvious) reason for it.

*thoughts*
Humans are weird sometimes(/lots of times), even from the inside.

Hurray for not being triggered.

Also, as someone else chores leave them without enough sleep, I totally get the short nap turning into a long sleep.

A couple days ago, I took a nap I expected to be 4 hours max. I accidentally slept for 10 hours. I didn't even think I was that tired, as I'd only been awake ~4 hours before naptime! (I decided to set alarms for naps yesterday and today. :P)

Also my brain seems to be stuck on "Oh, you want to be diurnal...? 4am or earlier wakeups right?!" regardless of when I fell asleep. This is aggravating because nooo actually~~ (I have to be awake and human Stupidly Early on Saturday to jaunt to town with mom and a sib, hence diurnality, but it's proving harder than usual to make myself fake diurnal believably.)
