to the concept of taking my antibiotics four times a day at regularly spaced intervals on an empty stomach or at least an hour before food (all the rest of my meds need to be taken with food Or Else). Nope in general, but especially nope this week, just sayin'.

(It is a minor thing and I will get better!)

Personally, I think that it's more important to get the meds in your stomach. I don't try to figure out timings for my meds because I'd end up focusing all the time on taking meds. That's a lot of pressure and stress I don't need. I know it probably reduces efficacy in some drugs, but add in my memory problems and I'd be missing doses left and right if I had more than 4 med times a day. (Even now, I occasionally miss meds. ;_;)

I had that set of instructions for the first half of this month too. Not actually possible.

Not the best week of the year for taking anything on an empty stomach or finding an hour without someone trying to feed you!

As I picked up this niggly cough while on IV antibiotics I'm not currently convinced that strict adherence to antibiotic regimens is strictly warranted.

Yeah, they had that with my Lyme antibiotics for awhile. It did not go over well with my other 16 pills, including the synthroid that had to be taken on an empty stomach and with no other meds. I just. Do doctors actually eat food and consider how many hours there are in a day? IDEK.
