Continuing the general theme of "pile disaparate things on a plate and call it food"...

... dinner tonight was brown rice with salted butter stirred through it; curly kale fried in butter & garlic; red onion and medium-sliced courgette fried in olive oil with a little chilli and maple syrup; avocado and lime juice; tiny tomatoes that were reduced in the supermarket (okay I maybe hovered for them a bit); and a punnet of British strawberries.

Brought to you by the culinary school of "it is too warm for stew and I haven't remembered how to cook for summer yet"...

All your food posts sound so delicious. I'm probably gonna be camping out in them come August when I have to cook for myself again and totally fail at coming up with anything interesting. ^^

any tips for cooking kale? I've liked it when I've eaten it cooked by someone else and at some point I'd like to grow it - but it makes little sense to grow it if I can't cook it!
