current problem with the *Raksura* books

I am, apparently, absolutely hindbrain-level convinced that major kethel all look like Mantine (manta ray Pokémon, very :3 sort of a grin, flaps around happily) and dakti all look like Sableye (pointy purple Ghost/Dark-type Pokémon... that is a maximum of around 1m tall).

Which I am not sure quite, er, communicates? the... gravitas/sense of impending doom/etc intended...
