delayed vital functions

(Retrospective for last week...)

Reading. One More Croissant for the Road, Felicity Cloake, ongoingly Very Slowly. I continue to enjoy; I am pleased by the serendipity of both this book and the La Grotta Ices one having an Entire Moment over (this being a fact I too did not previously know) the Sheer Quantity of kiwi fruit grown in Italy.

Playing. Admin: the LRP! Highlights included The Shit Bridge, The Return Of The PhysRep, the weather being enough better than forecast that we got away with it (where "it" means "getting 3000 people out of a field without massive logistics problems due to Mud"), and returning lost property to its owners.

Eating. Still adore The Jabberwocky even though this time round the only flavour I had from them was their cheese & chutney (& a bite of A's mozzarella). Fresh Rootz continues to provide A Range of Vegetable, which is v welcome. Crew Welfare also continues great.

Fantastic improv tasting flight at the crew afterparty on Sunday night, courtesy of one of the other folk present: spiced cider, dark fruits cider, redcurrant gin, some kind of plum-I-think liqueur, and damson gin, all of which were fantastic. A was very taken with the sweet stout (not homebrew); I thought it had ever been within half a mile of hops and therefore did not like it.

Exploring. A field, a bit! We managed to go for a short bat-hunting walk on Wednesday night; I tromped across the field in ways I don't usually to visit The Shit Bridge; we had a whole bunch more field available this time so I also spent some time in fields I had previously only ever seen over the fence.

Making & mending. USED A SEWING MACHINE. FIXED THE BAG FOR THE CAMPING MATTRESS. It was not a very straight seam but I did it and am very proud of myself.

Learned how to help put up some of the tents! And also how not to put them up...

Observing. Foxes! Red kites! A bat! Tiny fluffy black lambs, on both our way into and our way out of the field.
