Reading. Nona the Ninth, Tamsyn Muir. First read. Reread scheduled to start Real Soon Now once I have finished sitting bolt upright in bed to go AND ANOTHER THING--

... or at least once the frequency of said has tailed off a bit more.

I have also caught up with current publication of yánasenesse | brief sanctuary (curuwen)! Which means I might thoroughly upset myself by going and spending some more time with the Silm, too.

Playing. We have restarted Heaven's Vault! I started off by myself on the basis that I'd tell Adam anything particularly interesting and call him back for Big Decision Points. Then I discovered that you get a much longer fragment of text on the very first item you get handed, and also had some more interesting conversation with the robot, and apparently now we're doing the replay together. CONTINUED DICTIONARY EXPANSION YAY.

Eating. A pub lunch (on a terrace empty apart from my party) at The Old Crown, in Girton, yesterday. At Admin: The LRP I am now subsisting on a mixture of the vegetable samosas previously mentioned and fancy noodles inna pot. My mother fed me also mushroom stroganoff, with lots of beans from her garden and also lots of tomatoes from her garden (including a Marmande from some seed I saved last year!), and sent me home with many more tomatoes and also three large bags of apples that now need Processing. (Adam brought the dehydrator in for me this afternoon while I was flopping around uselessly in bed, because he is Very Good.)

Exploring. Last week was the final Admin: The LRP event of the year. The field was permanently about ten foot deep in mist, and while on the whole I'd rather not have spent five days living in a cloud, we did great and it did produce some very picturesque lightscapes at night illuminated by the moon.

Then this week, on Wednesday, I went to A&E! Again! Because I have terrible hobbies! But this meant I got stabbed with prochlorperazine (incidental to the actual reason for the A&E trip), which was very useful this weekend. We visited some of my adopted relatives on Saturday, whom I have not seen in over a decade at this point because I am abysmal at keeping in touch with people, and it was very, very good, hence the lunch in Girton; we saw my mother for dinner and I had a good time poking around her garden.

Making & mending. One more mask dismantled!

Growing. We have eaten our first of the Blue Fire tomatoes that I actually grew this year, more or less, courtesy of the people at the allotment site who have been diligently watering all my damn plants for me! I am too busy being astonished it existed at all to have reviews on how it actually tasted. Those might follow.

The potted-up squash on the patio are doing well.

Observing. At home: The Bat.

Abroad: in my mother's garden, we saw a MOUSE and a SMALL FROG pootling around; inside, my mother is snake-sitting for my brother, so we introduced Adam to said snake and Observed Her Behaviour. She had shed in the last week or so and was very iridescent and pretty.
