vital functions

Writing. Really very little. Partly that's because it has been another hellish migraine week, but also I am aware that I have just gone a week with nothing but todo/tada and vital functions, and the reason I wanted to avoid doing that is that I miss you all and wind up feeling a bunch more isolated, so. Hmm. Some middle ground to be sought here, I think.

Cooking. The adventure of the week was pizza; the dough wasn't quite right (it definitely didn't help that I forgot the salt...) and our oven still doesn't go hot enough but it's an acceptable proof-of-concept and I am intending to try again this week coming. If, you know, my brain will cooperate. Elsewise... I am happy with the salt-and-pepper tofu I am now making, and I was also pleased this evening to realise that we could stick barberries in the roast-squash-couscous-salad Thing and they would go well. (They did.)

Observing. The robin has discovered the fat balls! Had I mentioned this? In any case: robin. fat balls. excellent.
