[migraine] still a terrible hobby
Dec. 14th, 2021 10:27 pmTonight's bedtime reading: Real world effectiveness and tolerability of candesartan in the treatment of migraine: a retrospective cohort study (Sánchez-RodrÃguez et al. 2021).
The context is that candesartan is the preventative I am currently nominally on, except that I got started at 2mg two and a bit weeks ago, and increased my dose to 4mg (the minimum dosage included in that study) at the beginning of last week, and now can't increase any further because it comes in packs of seven 2mg pills and my pharmacy has at this point given me IOUs for my initial prescription twice. So far.
I am not, I will confess, thrilled by how unlikely it is to work for me, especially given how much effort it apparently is to get my hands on it. But hey. Gives me something to do between now and the end of January, I suppose.
