Apparently "curling up in a miserable little ball on the sofa with a migraine" is actually a fairly good state from which to repeatedly and grimly count how many slipped stitches I had left on each side every third row or so. (I am annoyed that I have not yet worked out how to bind off the final stitch neatly, and I need to find EITHER of the darning needles the sofa has eaten before I can start on the thumb, but! BASICALLY A GLOVE. I will fix it when I decide to redo the whole damn thing Later.)

Also today: steps taken towards pricking out some of the tomatoes (one tray containing twelve small pots, and a bag of compost brought in to warm up). Astonishing oil-painting sky, giving way to a fascinating static effect from the rain at sunset. (Or possibly the other way around?) Almost finished a book. Did, in the end, get steps and stretch limbs and generally continue project Relearn How To Walk. And now sleep, yes yes.
