This journal ends up being a bit of a mix of Srs Business (rants; things I've learned from counselling; &c), fannish & scientific joy, linkspams, poetry, & misc life updates. I tag fairly compulsively, though not always helpfully; I use content notes; I have written up a cast of characters; I aim to maintain this as a safer space, and appreciate (but do not expect!) call-outs when I mess up.

I like it if you introduce yourself when you subscribe, but it's definitely not required. Probably 30% of this journal is access-locked; I give access very readily. Fanworks are always public; AO3 is the canonical place to find my list of works. I'm very happy for you to link to anything that's public, and I'll be even happier if you let me know you're doing it. :-)

Hi, would you care to friend? I clicked the friends of friends list which is something I rarely do and saw your post, then saw that like me you live in Cambridgeshire, then saw friend's names I know irl. I'm not in your age group (I'm just retired) but I'm modern in outlook, a bit geeky, have two sons (one gay) and a grandson with another on the way! My blog is fairly mundane, just about life in general. I won't be offended if you'd rather not!

I saw you on, er, a community and added you. This is my journal where I pretend to be happy and bouncy and positive and stuff. I'm not good at it at all- in fact I'm probably awfully boring- but oh well. I have a journal where I'm more like my real self, but I only share the URL when I think somebody can handle watching me plumb the sewer of my messed-up brain.

I'm unflappable too. For some reason I felt like I might want some friends, and lo! I saw a million profiles that said "Don't be depressing, I hate depressing people". So I decided to try to fake it. Turns out that I suck at it.
