kaberett | some good things (you know the drill)

Tomatoes are hatching! This morning there were somewhere under 10 of them, all with their heads still buried. This evening there are... lots. With their whole entire seedling leaves out.
The post (in the person of A) brought me a TREET, namely: a self-inking stamp reading "Arrows to collect". This has gone to live in the box next to the "Lost property to collect" stamp, to be deployed toward the end of the month.
Spare roast squash and accidental roast garlic did excellent quick post-limb-wiggling dinner this evening. (Giant couscous, halloumi, dried apricot, pistachio. Experimental barberries, which worked well in the absence of pomegranate.)
Got some quality time with The Toddler this evening, including request to Read A Book (one fish two fish red fish blue fish). Toddler (a) recognised us and (b) Remarked Upon A's freshly brightened hair (in a whole entire sentence, no less!).
I got to watch very heavy rain through the back window this afternoon while eating a smol individual trifle alternating with drinking tea. It was absolutely lovely.
