Reading. What Happened To You? Bruce D. Perry & Oprah Winfrey. The last couple of chapters took an unfortunate dive into Screens Ruin Everything but that aside I found this fascinating and useful and wound up inadvertently making notes on it. I've got a table still to copy out before I return it to the library; this was great, in that it validated some things I already experientially ~knew~ but didn't have data on; made me do a non-trivial amount of self-reflection about What I Want And What If Anything I'm Doing To Get It; and gave me a whole load of fascinating new facts. Do approach with caution, not least because of, you know, all the illustrative examples of horrible trauma, but great.

The Ethnomusicology of the Last Dreadnought, Yoon Ha Lee. Project Close Some Tabs By Reading Short Fiction. Enjoyed.

The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper, Roland Allen. Mentioned by [personal profile] shanaqui; the library doesn't have it but does provide a free sample of the first couple of chapters, so I've started dipping into that.

Watching. Good Omens S02E06. I... was not the target audience for this show.

Located [youtube.com profile] BodyControlPilatesOfficial and spent a bit of time half-watching some of it while doing some mending.

Playing. More Octodad: Dadliest Catch. We are... possibly converging on an input method I can actually use.

Cooking. This batch of Meera Sodha's pumpkin malai kari made with tamarind instead of sugar + lime. Approved.

More Kaiserschmarrn.

Making & mending. I have FINISHED patching up holes in my pair of approximately-winter-weight preferred gardening trousers. Until I put some more in, of course, but still -- Done For Now on that one.

Otherwise my ~creative energy~ this week has mostly been going, as discussed, to cataloguing what my six boxes of embroidery thread even consist of, having completed which they have been arranged rather more tidily and distinctly less Out (though I'm going to want to pull some tomorrow assuming we get more good weather tomorrow for the sake of trying to ID the skein I acquired in childhood and lost the number wrapper for...)

Growing. ... does ordering seeds count? I've ordered more seeds. Also some sciarid fly nematodes, which I really need to apply, like, yesterday, but tomorrow will do; once I've actually applied those I will feel rather more comfortable starting aubergines/peppers/etc.

Hope you enjoy The Notebook! It wanders around quite a bit, but it does all make sense as a coherent thread when I sit back and view it in retrospect.

Ha, that kind of thing tends to sail right past me -- somehow my brain doesn't pay much attention to names, and I just do a lot of gathering context to make things make sense. (I actually learned to do that from reading Norse sagas back in uni, where it can be a whole stream of names, many irrelevant. Generally things straighten themselves out if you firmly keep going -- or they do for me, anyway. So since then I think I do that a lot, and don't necessarily notice that kind of thing anymore...)
