Yep, I totally forgot that yesterday was not, in fact, Sunday -- but I am now back in London, partially unpacked, and scrawling a quick note before bed...

• I think I completely forgot to mention that we went to the Seal Sanctuary yesterday? We went to the Seal Sanctuary yesterday! And acquired Gear Farm pasties for lunch. Lots of excellent flowers; penguin feeding; good poke around in general.

• Gordano service station weirdly lovely: we walked up a grassy bank to stretch our legs, and discovered a multitude of (official!) footpaths through the wee wooded area on its other side, leading to and through a field of broad beans and onward to a church. Will patronize again.

• shoved a last few things into soil in Cornwall; stopped off at the allotment on the way back into London and watered some miraculously not dead things, and then applied more water to more things once actually home. Celery seedlings seem to be fine but the established chilli is quite unhappy & has accordingly been drenched.

• squash are hatching! These being the ones I delayed our departure to get into pots. Only two of four varieties so far, but fingers crossed.
