vital functions
Apr. 4th, 2021 11:31 pmReading. More comfort reading. ( T. Kingfisher, Martha Wells )
Writing. Mrrgh. First draft of first chunk of chapter 6, and a start on the second chunk. Also a graph (
).
Watching. CXG S02E13, which, my goodness; I am going to attempt to write this up Properly at some point this week. (While procrastinating.)
Playing. We finished Myst IV, with copious reference to the Universal Hint System and a great deal of grumbling about terrible UI. ( Read more... )
We have started Wuppo. We are dubious about the usefulness of its coop mode, and I think also dubious about the dialogue, but we are definitely enjoying the faces the wums pull.
(Horn. Dragons.)
Cooking. New this week: Ottolenghi pearl barley risotto with marinated feta. The feta is very good; the "risotto" is pleasantly edible but probably not going to enter our rotation.
Making & mending. I reapplied the rotary tool to my bike! I have both primed and painted over the exposed steel! And, thanks to all of you yesterday, I have in fact I think managed to order all the spare parts I need for repairs (and for bonus points managed to ravel, I think, the inner brake cable I'd fucked up, though not to such an extent that I actually anticipate being able to thread it back through the cable housing -- we'll see).
Growing. I have potted up the chillis and the sweet basil, both of which are looking much happier with it. I continue to wage war against the aphids. The blueberry is in ongoing flower. I sowed some parsley, which might if I am very lucky actually germinate (I didn't dry the seeds properly). The fig is unfurling.
The peppers are not yet sown but I am set up with coconut coir and paper pots and the seeds so hopefully I will manage this tomorrow, in spite of everything being Exceedingly Executive Function.
I am very much enjoying the green, and the cowslip that is bravely growing in the lawn.
