Because November is hard for lots of us, and in particular is something I find hard (my not-quite-month of mourning begins tomorrow, officially); because it's spring in the southern hemisphere and the days just keep getting shorter in the northern; because I talked to my counsellor yesterday about all of the shapes and forms that value takes.

Hi - I love that you talk about your polygamous relationship, because it's what I'm hoping to have, if things work out. Please keep talking about it.

I also enjoy reading your updates about home ownership - I think I would feel very much the same way, so knowing that I'm not the only one is a relief.

They could use some love right now.

If I do it this way, I get to see the comments, which is much better. Even if it fits mean having to deal with weasels that suggest fast self-nomination is only because there's nobody else who would do it for me. It's complex, at times, my relationship with praise.

Me, I think. Because, well, November.

SO let us see, what am I pleased with at the moment -- that I make imperfect work (code, poetry, poking-around-the-insides-of-my-brain) and I talk about it publically; and (qualifiers be damned, I will say this without them because I know it to be true) in so doing I make space for other people to be imperfect, too.

rysmiel - they've had a notably stressful few months, and they'd benefit from being told why they're awesome.

This, finding it tremendously helpful to watch all the brain-poking and see resonances with my own issues in the places we overlap.

Liv has some of the tastiest and sparkliest brains I know, and I love the honest and unapologetic passion they show for so many things.

They deserve epic amounts of love and admiration - Hare is incredibly tough and strong, and very wise.

Your poetry is lovely, and I adore the way you talk about rocks, and pretty much everything you write is interesting.

Hare is wonderful. A super person: creative and compassionate and thoughtful and brilliant and beautiful on so many levels. I love them very much indeed.

Liv makes me think, and makes me smile. I always come away from any conversation with her, especially face-to-face, feeling like my life has been enriched. She also writes beautifully, and I mightily appreciate her posts on here. I am very glad to know her.

Making space for others to be imperfect is a really good and beautiful thing to do. Yay for you. :-)

Mirrorshard has transformed my life glorious ways, and keeps on transforming it. It's not just that they make me happy, that their kindness and care and love have probably saved my life on multiple occasions now. It's that they have given me the space and the strength and the support and encouragement to be more freely and truly and confidently myself than I've been before.

And then there's the fact that they are utterly gorgeous, endlessly creative, and persistently fascinating and entertaining to be around.

They make me struggle not to believe in things like destiny. Especially when their words and my music fit so beautifully together.

I love working with them, living with them, spending time with them.

Even if they do continue to pour scorn on my liking for rooibos tea. ;-)
