(no subject)

So I'm finishing up my third-year project¹. Right now I am putting together my map. I have reached the point at which there is a spare corner; traditionally people seem to fill it with a college crest.

I think I tend to feel this is possibly a little tacky, but I wasn't really sure what to do instead until I had THE BEST IDEA EVER, viz, DRAGONS. Labelled "Here be dragons", obv. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG.³

I am struggling to imagine the sound of someone attempting to play a slug-filled tuba. Others nearby may find this easier: they will have heard my snoring.

Something looks funny with 'hunc' but my grammar is not up to saying what. I think it perhaps should be "hīc". Or "ibi". ICBW.

ETA: Dragons are good in most situations though. Not sure they need labelling.

"hunc dracones sunt" was my doing. My belief is that it literally means "[pertaining] to this [place], there are dragons" and some distant vestigial memory tells me it's idiomatic.

But I could be wildly wrong.

It's the accusativeness of hunc that I'm not sure about, is all.
