Visible in the background are a cherry tree (in bud but not yet blossom), a greenhouse, and a skeleton of a fruit cage. In the middle distance is a set of globe artichoke plants. In the foreground is a lot of overgrown grass and a couple of raised beds.

It looks great! The fruit cage is bigger than I imagined—no wonder you had to put in some effort getting it up. The globe artichokes are also very exciting! We've eaten artichokes twice while they've been in season this year and have more in the kitchen for dinner tonight. :D

Yes, I have had Enough of not being able to get at soft fruit bushes except by crawling in undignified fashion and gently untangling the netting as I go, plus I have some gov't money, so... great big sturdy year-round walk-in fruit cage it is!
