... yeah, it's been A Week.

Reading. The Dark Vault, VE Schwab (). Engaging, enjoyable, very gladly vacuumed it up as a source of Pleasant Distraction while A Lot was happening. May yet wind up acquiring a digital copy for potential comfort rereading.

Something That May Shock and Discredit You, Daniel Lavery. Have been greatly enjoying saying "go on, now read this paragraph" to A and watching while his face Does The Thing I experienced from the inside mere moments beforehand. I am definitely not getting all of the jokes and I am needing periodic breaks to stare at a wall but I'm definitely enjoying myself.

I am taking a break from my reread of The Body Keeps The Score, see also, A Week.

Writing. Tiny 1 a.m. poetry fragment/sketch, overwrought.

Open book, folding in on oneself, etc --

The (secret?) fire burning in the (furnace? hearth?) within my heart: I'm going to die. This, too, will pass.

Had I been even slightly more awake while scribbling I'd probably have spotted the UTTERLY UNSUBTLE VICTORIA GODDARD INFLUENCE, but alas. :-p

Playing. I seem to have tripped and fallen into quite a bit of Mines.

Cooking. First batch of lentil moussaka, after my mother! 120g red lentils instead of meat; yes potato. Not as good as hers; definitely worth iterating upon.

Growing. SOWED THE CHILLIS. Also some aubergine. Also a sweet pepper.

Oh, moussaka! How delicious that looks, and how much I miss it!

I enjoyed Lavery’s book a lot.

*snort*

I can tell it's Goddard, not Macdonald and Blaché, because the awareness of mortality ends in fire, not in ice.
