rysmiel is near kin to me in ways there isn't good language for. It's not romantic, and it's not Platonic exactly, not as people normally employ the term. We're close in ways that are intensely physical and embodied and emotionally rich.

We have an affinity which seems almost miraculous sometimes, although we're in many ways very different in personality. We also put in a lot of time and effort to making absolutely sure we understand eachother, explaining and clarifying and trying to convey our thoughts and states of mind as well as can be achieved with words and listening.

rysmiel has been making me wiser and more joyful for a decade now, and I have tens of thousands of words of email draft ongoing to convey even more nuance of exactly what they mean to me.
