Alas, it is not a transitive magic. It also comes with the curse that I cannot make a recipe from the pen of Melissa Clark, who many people cite as an amazing recipe writer, and who I agree has excellent concepts, but whose recipes are invariably shitshows for me — I can use them as loose inspiration, but I have to make several drastic changes or the result is invariably terrible.
