I am also entirely capable of performing the necessary analysis to realise that rhetoric like that linked is actively making me and people like me more unsafe via at least two different routes, and I am fucking sick of people prioritising moral purity and sneering condescension over the pragmatics of kindness and making the world less horrifying.
