One patient recently recognised me and was really excited. She said: “Oh, I am such a big Bake Off fan, I can’t wait to tell my family I met you.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her we had already given her the anaesthetic, which meant she wasn’t going to remember any of it.
I don't quite know why, but that made me laugh so hard.
