I can't really guage my environment, since I'm currently between housing (Short-term-safe, but staying with friends til local housing authorities pull their fingers out of their ears). Hopefully I won't get stuck in a place halfway up a hill, anyway. It also means I'd be waiting however long this gets sorted before even getting onto a wheelchair services waiting list, and I doubt I'll have the fight left in me for the rest of the year to handle that.. Sorry, this got kinda splurgy. But the point is, I think I'd rather spend a chunk of my savings than get in the ring with another ostensibly-helpful-but service at this point. :/
After googling POTS, that's.. A thing I should really get checked out once I have a GP. It'd explain a lot, heh. So thanks for that.
There's a Ti Lite TR refurb nearby that I'm going to go have a poke at, and if it fits, spend the £800. After looking at the sheer weight difference between lightweight and non-LW chairs, it definitely seems worth it, and yeah, if I ended up renting a 45kg monster, it wouldn't be representative. :P It has a folding back, which I'm hope-guessing isn't going to have horrible flexy-fun when I go down a kerb, since that sounds like a problem with lateral folders.
Do you mind if I follow you here? We seem to have rather a lot in common. :)
