They have been so kind to me during the rough and lonely parts of the last couple years, even when that kindness felt really undeserved. They are so smart in a way that's about curiosity and making connections between things. I love their enthusiasm about music! I think a lot of what I've learned about compassion and self-compassion is, directly or indirectly, what I've learned from them, and that feels really important to me.
