emperor is incredibly intimidating 'coz he plays the cello and Knows Stats.

Wait, let's try that again: he is wry & funny & kind, & he knows all sorts of things about all sorts of things & is happy to share his knowledge; and he was very patient about not being spiky while I was being baffled by Buffy & Angel, and subsequently very kind when s7 of Buffy did a number on me. Seriously, anyone who can manage that after several months of me being at best rude about the Show Of Their Heart deserves some kind of accolade.

FURTHERMORE he is an excellent geek & an excellent cook & he came to my graduation & congratulated me, which he didn't have to, and he is Generally Lovely And A Good Sort. Plus he rock-climbs, which means I get a regular infusion of pictures of lovely rocks via him [plus, you know, some people, I guess?]. Delighted to know him, & you would be too. :-)
