ten. good. things.
(Yeah I'm struggling with the ukpol news at the moment, and feeling especially bleak about this FOI response in particular. Maybe I will manage to pull together a post of useful "please write to your MP about the UC/PIP bill" tomorrow, given I've got them all open in tabs to do so anyway.)
- It turns out that indexing a book with only ten recipes for EYB is very quick and also fun, at least if you're me.
- Pointing bat detector out the bedroom window while we're dithering to bed is working out vastly better than I'd even hoped - they turn out to be active for much longer after sunset than we'd realised!
- Rain.
- Dessert gooseberries: 200g this evening and that's just the earliest ripened, with many many more to come. This is far and away the best I've done with this bush since getting the plot, and I'm very pleased.
- Despite my getting horribly stalled, A still managed to pick 666g (per the kitchen scale) of cherries, with plausibly about the same to come, despite needing to donate about half of the contents of the stockings to the local ecosystem courtesy of my executive dysfunction.
- Similarly I'm a week or so late to starting to harvest the summer raspberries, and I'm definitely struggling with the whole "disability impeding nice things" bit, but I've harvested some now, which is more than none, and they're tasty and again actually mulching and watering makes a world of difference, who knew.
- Fan arrived! Fan works well.
- Last of the mango salad for lunch. Still v v tasty.
- Cambridge Core! Alum access, which I set up today, means I now have downloaded (albeit as one PDF per chapter section) Neuroscience for Psychiatrists, which looks to be about my speed...
- Libby. Yog. Cuddles to go to sleep with.
