This journal ends up being a bit of a mix of Srs Business (rants; things I've learned from counselling; &c), fannish & scientific joy, linkspams, poetry, & misc life updates. I tag fairly compulsively, though not always helpfully; I use content notes; I have written up a cast of characters; I aim to maintain this as a safer space, and appreciate (but do not expect!) call-outs when I mess up.

I like it if you introduce yourself when you subscribe, but it's definitely not required. Probably 30% of this journal is access-locked; I give access very readily. Fanworks are always public; AO3 is the canonical place to find my list of works. I'm very happy for you to link to anything that's public, and I'll be even happier if you let me know you're doing it. :-)

Ah yes, stress, I know how that goes. I hope your stressors die down soon. 2015 was a Big, Tough year for me, and subsequently I sort of failed at blogging because I was too busy wringing my hands, but hopefully 2016 is going to be better. Though my latest blog post, titled "job drama" hints that it won't be as stable and smooth a year as I was hoping for. I may, in fact, be cursed to perpetual job instability. Only time will tell.

Hi. Would you care to friend? I was told about your love meme by chanter_greenie, and then I came to your journal and it looked pretty interesting, so I joined and subscribed.

About me: I'm an American from Connecticut in my fifties, aro ace, disabled, and kinda geeky, with the pronouns she/her. I post, oh, stories, as well as mundane problems I'm having (often depression- and/or money-related). Science fascinates me (though I don't know much about it). And sometimes I crosspost sporks (read: literary analyses) of books that I do over at das_sporking2. Previous sporking links lead back to LiveJournal; I deleted my account there because I could not support signing a contract in English that would be binding on me but not binding on SUP. Nor did I like the notion of rating every single one of my posts to protect the cheeld-ren or that of total compliance with Russian law, including the stupid and monumentally destructive anti-gay law.

Oh, and I like fantasy, urban fantasy, mystery, science fiction and historical novels, as well as comic books such as The Wicked + The Divine and Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan). Also, I can and will rant for hours about Hydra Cap, a concept which I loathe with a fiery passion--though I have not ranted about it on Dreamwidth. Yet.

Completely Unrelated; I recently got some Frog Legs Casters + Forks & Loopwheels for my wheelchair, & would be happy to chat about (currently limited- I don't go out all that much rn) experiences thereof if it'd help with your "buying your first wheelchair" post?

It's a very useful resource (and iirc how we met), and if you're still updating it any way I can help I'd want to. Um. Sentence structure/wordfail, but hopefully intent goes?
