I don't believe I posted about returning to the zoo after the first visit this year, but I tried and failed to see our elephants. I did succeed at seeing our hippos (3 of 4, I think including Fritz but idk whether Fiona (now more or less an adult) was there) and even saw them eating a lettuce snack.
(also caught a pair of lions, ostriches, one other big cat, a condor, a mongoose, and um... the gorillas. And city squirrels with almost no fear of people who are prone to leaping explosively out of trashbins if startled)
...I was actually thinking of going again this week but didn't get around to it the one day I both might have felt up to it and was free.
