Several weekends ago, I visited a friend, N, in Ascot.
gerald_duck came with me.
N teaches music, and also plays the school's organ for services.
So there we were, being shown the chapel, and there they were, geeking about organ stops and pipe lengths and all similar manner of thing. And there I was, leaning over the balcony in the organ loft, when I noticed something: the books of Common Prayer were of various generations, but two basic types - either red- or blue-edged pages.
So I ( organised them. )
Related only in the sense that rubbish phone camera photos are rubbish (which, to be fair, is probably largely my fault), dinner tonight looked like ( this. )
That's baked potato with cheese and tinned sweetcorn; grated carrot with diced dried apricot and rice wine vinegar; and green lettuce and finely sliced onions in a dressing of olive oil, lemon juice, sugar and salt.
Entirely unrelatedly, my assessment for DSA was today, and it is being recommended that I get everything I was asking for and then some.
